I make art

I haven’t been writing much here lately.  I have so many things that I want to write about, but the delivery falls short.  However, I have managed to get other things done.

The title comes from Elmo’s song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWF86D_UNxc

This looks so hard to do. I haven’t advanced much past drawing at a six year old level. That might even be an insult to a six year old. My apologies to all six year olds. I love art and come from a family of artists . . . my artistry comes in other ways. Maybe one of these days I’ll get a canvas and imagine that I can paint. 🙂

Do you find it enjoyable and peaceful Prairie?

Its not that hard. I’m learning how to see things and how to move the paint around. It doesn’t always do what I want, but that’s ok. I bet you’re better than you think.
I zone out when I paint- its like meditating. I keep thinking its something I can do with the kids, but I completely forget about them and wake up to find the carpet covered with purple.

And how do you get the purple out mother?

I think my gardening and photography might be my painting. But I do one day hope to splurge and just go at it.

        By using washable paints 🙂

Gardening is one of the most beautiful art forms! And cooking too. Both things I happen to enjoy more when other people create them 🙂
